West Coast Charters
( July – Sept)
On the west coast of Vancouver Island is the beautiful little fishing town of Ucluelet. We’ve been guiding out there for many years now and it has quickly become one of our most popular fishing trips.
The rugged west coast offers some amazing scenery as well as top notch fishing. Bald eagles, sea lions, whales, and bears are only some of the amazing creatures you can see while on your trip.
We spend most of our days fishing on the offshore banks if weather allows us. These banks are where all the bait seems to congregate. And because of that, we have millions of migrating salmon passing through, which makes for some action packed days of fishing.
And when the fish are around, it is not uncommon to hook into more than 50 salmon each day.
Also on the banks is healthy population of Halibut. So, after your arms are tired from bringing in so many salmon, we can then take a break and anchor up for Halibut.
Salmon sizes range from 12 – 45 Lbs for Chinook and 6 – 20 Lbs for Coho. And Halibut range anywhere from 10 – 100 Lbs, with even bigger fish being reported.
So if this trip interests you, drop me a line and we can get started planning your vacation.
Make sure to have lots to eat and drink, as well as a good nights sleep before hand, as you’re going to need your energy for this trip.
